Workflows and connected services
Claude for Small Business ships with 15 ready-to-run agentic workflows across finance, operations, sales, marketing, human resources and customer service. Anthropic says it also includes 15 skills based on recurring tasks that business owners identified as time-consuming.
The company lists workflows for planning payroll, closing monthly accounts, monitoring business performance and preparing marketing campaigns. Other available functions include chasing invoices, analyzing margins, organizing tax-season materials, reviewing contracts, triaging leads and developing content strategies.
The payroll workflow can compare a QuickBooks cash position with incoming PayPal settlements, prepare a 30-day forecast, rank overdue items and queue reminders for approval. The month-end workflow can reconcile books against settlements, flag mismatches, draft a plain-English profit-and-loss statement and export a closing packet through QuickBooks.
Anthropic assigns specific roles to individual connectors. PayPal handles settlements, invoices, disputes and refunds. QuickBooks supports payroll planning, monthly closing, cash flow, tax preparation and reconciliation. HubSpot provides lead triage, customer information and campaign attribution, while Canva generates and publishes content and tracks its performance. Docusign sends contracts for signature, tracks their status and files completed copies.
Permissions and data controls
Anthropic says every task or workflow within Claude is initiated by the user. Owners can approve a plan before execution or allow it to run from beginning to end.
Permissions already configured in connected services remain in effect. According to Anthropic, an employee who cannot access information in QuickBooks or Google Drive cannot gain access to it through Claude. The company also says it does not use customer data to train its models by default under Team and Enterprise plans.
Courses, workshops and partnerships
Anthropic also partnered with PayPal on AI Fluency for Small Business, a free online course covering how owners can select appropriate tasks for AI and begin using it safely, responsibly and ethically. The company said the on-demand course became available on the announcement date.
A separate Claude SMB Tour begins May 14 in Chicago. Anthropic and Tenex.co will hold free half-day training sessions and workshops for 100 local small business leaders at each stop. Attendees receive a one-month Claude Max subscription. Announced spring locations also include Tulsa, Dallas, Hamilton Township, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Salt Lake City, Baltimore, San Jose and Indianapolis.
Anthropic also announced support for a 2026 accelerator serving an initial group of 15 aspiring solo entrepreneurs, along with partnerships with three Community Development Financial Institutions using AI in their operations and services.
